I finished my master’s degree in marine biology and conservation in 2021 at Ispa University Institute. In 2022 I started my PhD in behavioral biology, in which I intend to study the effects of temperature and hypoxia, and their interaction with other environmental and anthropogenic stressors, on the behavior and physiology of fish early-stage.

 This is with the aim of understanding how early stages might be affected by climate change and how this might affect future population dynamics. Also in 2022, I had the opportunity to join the Microtoxfish project, led by Dr. Ana Rita Lopes, which aims to assess the effect of Global warming and ability of microplastics to act as vector for contaminants in fish early life stages.
